I am so thankful to have planned my hernia surgery with Dheeraj Bojwani and Indian Health Guru Consultants. Infact I was a bit hesitant initially to travel to India for this and I asked so many questions to Dheeraj. But he was always there for me, answering all my queries and helping me every time. He came to meet me at the Hospital and checked out all the services being provided to me. I was very overwhelmed from the long flight when I reached India, but gradually as things settled down I knew this was the righteous decision. Jake Keith underwent a laparoscopic repair of an Incisional and umbilical hernia through India Health Guru Consultants. “Six years ago I had an open gallbladder removal surgery at another hospital. After few years I noticed a bulge in the incision. I had an Incisional and umbilical hernia caused by the incision where I had my surgery. I never had any symptoms except for an unsightly bulge in upper abdomen on my right side. But it could have developed into a problem in the future so I thought it should be taken care of.

My wife went online and found Indian Health Guru Consultants and then we had a talk with Dr Dheeraj Bojwani on phone. We waited to find out what he would suggest. He suggested having the hernia repaired laparoscopically; he felt it would be better to repair it that way.

Dominic Fred a 75-year-old retired editor from Sheffield in UK has an open repair of his huge Incisional Hernia expanse of lightweight mesh.

“I was admitted to my local NHS Hospital for a bowel resection. I don’t know who did it as they were short of consultants and mine was off sick. I think the surgeon was just temporary. Anyway I am quite big, diabetic and my chest can be a problem too. They made a huge incision right down the middle of my abdomen. Afterwards the recovery was bad, the wound was infected. I was in hospital for 5 weeks and even then I had an infection when I went out, it took weeks to settle with a nurse coming in 3 days a week.

Two months later a huge rupture developed that took over the whole of my stomach. I couldn’t bend over and my movement was severely restricted. The first consultant I saw said it was too big to fix.

Then I Started my research on the Internet where I came across Indian Health Guru Consultants website in India. I was operated using a new technique where the mesh is put under the muscle so that there is less chance of infection and ulceration of the skin over the mesh. The anaesthetist did an epidural so the pain was blocked and it helped me to get my chest clear afterwards. I was looked after on the high dependency unit with my own nurse all the time. It was such a contrast to the first operation.

The hernia repair operation has been a great success and I know this is the best chance of no recurrence. I feel so well now that I have a new lease of life. I want to thank Dr Dheeraj Bojwani & Indian Health Guru Consultant’s staff for their skill and professionalism.
