Dr. P. S. Lamba

Dr. P. S. Lamba brings to Wockhardt Hospitals 13 years of experience in the field of Endocrinology and Diabetes. He was associated with the Armed Forces for 26 yrs as a consultant endocrinologist and pioneered the premier Radioimmunoassay Laboratory of the Armed Forces. He was in the forefront of medical research associated with the Indian navy linked to Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy and the Microenvironment of the Submarines. He was the founding Editor of "Journal Of Marine Medicine", the official Journal of the Naval Medical Fraternity.

He has been a Lecturer at the armed forces Medical College and a Post Graduate teacher of the Mumbai University.

Currently he is actively involved in Diabetes Education and Research Programs at the Diabetes Endocrine Nutrition Management and Research center, Mumbai and is the Editor of "International Journal of Diabetes in Developing Countries". He is on the Editorial Board of "Diabetes Today". Additionally he is the secretary of the Maharashtra Chapter of RSSDI (Research Society For Study Of Diabetes in India), Secretary FDI (Foundation for Diabetes in India) and Joint Secretary of ADCP (Association for Diabetes Care and Prevention).

• Awarded General Srinagesh Gold Medal for standing First in Medicine (1980)
