Dr. A. S. Bawa
Dr. A. S. Bawa is currently Director Urology & Chairman of Minimal Invasive Surgery in Urology. He has done his MS and MCh. from PGIMER and was also head of Department of Surgery in Government Medical College and Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh. He is credited with over 15,000 surgeries during his career, which includes procedures pertaining to urinary stones, prostate and kidney diseases etc.
He has been on various important committees of Government Medical Hospital, sector 32, Chandigarh like purchase, technical, literary, academic and research, and the sports committee.
He has been on advisory board of various health departments like Punjab Health System Corporation, Director Health Services, Punjab. He has been an examiner in various Universities of Northern India like Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, Baba Farid University, Faridkot, Delhi University, Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla.
He is credited with more than 40 international and national publications in research medical journals. He has trained about 80 doctors in the field of surgery and urology as senior residents. He has received awards and commendations at various forums in the field of medicine. He has been an aggressive writer for media publications in the field of medicine.
