I am Okeke a Nigerian citizen. I visited India for my Intracapsular cataract extraction at hospital of Goa and it was a successful journey for me. I would like to share with you how I feel after my Intracapsular cataract extraction in India guided by Indian Healthguru Group. Like many people, my first concern was the many questions I had to ask in order to help me make the right decision for my health! I visited Bangalore for my treatment where an experienced ophthalmologist in an eye hospital initiated my treatment starting with the tests.
The Eye surgeon discussed with me everything what was going to happen before, during and after my Intracapsular cataract extraction procedure. It helped me to be informed, so I could give my consent for the procedure to go ahead, which I was asked to do by signing a consent form. When performing intracapsular cataract extraction, the surgeon makes a large opening in the eyeball and injects medicine into the eye, causing the zonular fibers that hold the lens in position to dissolve. A special probe is then placed on the lens, and liquid nitrogen is applied to freeze the lens. As the probe is gently withdrawn from the eye, the natural lens is pulled out with it. Once the natural lens is removed, an intraocular lens implant is inserted in front of the iris, the colored part of the eye.
Post Intracapsular cataract extraction I was taken to a well furnished room with T.V and all the latest amenities one can expect for.
