Dr. Saxena graduated from Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC) in 1988. He did his MD in Anaesthesiology from the same college in 1994. Dr. Saxena went on to do a Post Doctoral Certificate Course in Cardiac Anaesthesia from Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow in 1997.
