Dr. Mondal
DLO, FRCS is a veteran in the ENT field with over 40 years of experience.
He completed his post graduation from Calcutta and went on to become Fellow in Royal College of Surgeons. After spending long years in UK, he returned to India and in 1991, joined Manipal Hospital. His rich and varied experience spans Otology, Phonosurgery (including Skull Base Surgery) and Functional Endoscopic Since Surgery (FESS) including the anterior skull base lesions. His experience has enabled the ENT department to be amongst the best in India and he continues to pay a major role in educational and clinical activities.
He was awarded Rashtriya Ratna award by the president of India in 2000 for the basic research work conducted for Cochlear Implants.
